Food:          Looking more like a *** affair in presentation the quality and selection is Wow! Breakfast may leave something to be desired but the hotel Agape has a huge self service running all day at very low prices.  Deliciously scrumptious would be one description while as much choice to pander any choice would be another. Whatever your preferred taste or diet, there's is some absolutely delicious cooked food for you. The main restaurant has slightly more of a **** grandeur and offers an excellent variety of tasty evening dining and sumptuous wines.

Rooms:      From surprisingly beautiful hotel 'attic' bedrooms to the classic apartment rooms all are to a very high standard of furnishing and cleanliness.  Though sadly missing the little extras like the essential kettle and makings, hairdryer or bedae.

Decor:         As this hotel was extensively renovated within the last two years, the decor is to very high standard.

Facilities:    Food, food, food and in the heart of Cluj-Napoca. Very comfortable rooms, Satellite TV, Internet wi-fi and a mini bar.  Not much? Go back to food!

Service:      While service is very good, you must remember that pleasing the tourist trade is still a new concept in Romania, they are very much still learning the whims and wants of a discerning tourist.  Especially at **** level. Staff are pleasant and courteous but may fail to understand the importance of your requests.

Brief Report:   This hotel is situated in the Transylvanian historical city of Cluj-Napoca, near the Saint Michael Church, the statue of Mathias Rex and the Banffy Palace.  It's central location in Cluj makes it an attractive choice for all. Close to shopping centres, markets and restaurants its all about location, location, location. Built on five floors which surrounds a beautiful courtyard design with the huge glass dome of the self service dining room as its centre piece.  The landings are spacious and uniquely ornate in rustic with a little table for a daytime coffee.  The entire property was recently renovated and extensively rebuilt in keeping with its unique and historic design, to such an extent that parts of Cluj were closed to traffic during the hotel re-build. If you are looking for a central location whether on holiday or business in this historic Transylvanian city, this is a must place to stay.  The rates are well below that of other hotels and though missing the entrance grandeur, what you get inside is much better than any other hotel in Cluj.  From the food to the unique architecture and high standard of comfort in its rooms, hotel Agape is a place you will remember.  Though as mentioned before, make allowances for their innocents of experience in catering for foreign tourists.  They have much to learn, though most importantly, they know it and are open to learn these new ways.  See the full report on Romania
